Snowfall is my 34th quilt finish this year and my fourth pattern for the year!
I used Midnight Tinsel batik fabrics by Island Batik for the background and Fairy Frost in Zirconia by Michael Miller Fabrics for the snowflakes. Several of the batik fabrics have shiny silver accents, and the Fairy Frost fabric is SO sparkly!
I arranged the fabrics from dark to light for an ombre effect. I quilted it on my Bernina 930 Record with an all-over stipple. It's a great throw size at 56"x70". I might be biased, but I'm in love!
Snowfall is a fat quarter friendly and traditionally pieced pattern suitable for advanced beginners. The pattern includes directions for four sizes from throw to king. Snowfall is the perfect snowflake quilt to keep you warm on cold winter nights!

Beautiful. Of course I am a sucker for blue and white quilts. We had our first snowfall of the season yesterday. I would rather see it this way.
ReplyDeleteSimple but dramatic quilt! Oh so lovely with those batiks and of course the Fairy Frost adds just the right amount of sparkle. Love this quilt! Thanks for sharing on my 300th edition of Wednesday Wait Loss.
